On Wednesday, the winners of the Fashioning the Future 2009 awards were revealed at a reception at London’s City Hall. The annual event – a venture from the Centre of Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion – aims to set meaningful challenges to young designers, in order to transform the current fashion industry for the better.
Following a video of the finalists’ work and speeches from several important figures from the Centre, including fashion commentator Caryn Franklin and The ONE Show broadcaster Lucy Siegle, the winners of each category were announced as follows:
